Dr. Rinkesh Kumar Bansal is a Senior Consultant at the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepato Biliary Sciences at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurugram. He has been at this institution since August 2017. Prior to which he served as Associate Consultant in Intervention Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology in the Institute of Digestive and Hepato Biliary Sciences, Medanta the Medicity, Gurugram from Sept 2015 to Aug 2017. He specializes in Transplant Hepatology, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Endobariatrics, and therapeutic endoscopy.

Dr. Rinkesh Kumar Bansal held the post of Senior Registrar in the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, for three years from March 2012 while preparing for the DNB (Gastroenterology & Hepatology) title, which he was awarded in December 2014. Earlier, for his MD (General Medicine) postgraduate degree program, he spent three years as Senior Registrar in the Department of Medicine at SMS Medical College, Jaipur. After receiving the MD degree, Dr. Rinkesh Kumar Bansal served as Senior Registrar in the Department of Medicine at DDU Hospital, New Delhi, from July 2011 to February 2012.

Dr. Rinkesh Kumar Bansal is an active member of several medical associations pertaining to the field of Gastroenterology. He has numerous publications to his credit in national and international peer-reviewed journals, either as first author or co-author. Some of his research papers have won awards and been selected for presentation at international conferences.

Dr. Rinkesh Kumar Bansal is very much research-oriented also, as he is part of many international trials at Fortis Memorial Research Institute. Dr. Rinkesh Kumar Bansal is actively involved in DNB training and is co-guided in the thesis and project.
